The 2024 Sport Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place during Homecoming weekend. The event will consist of a welcome reception beginning at 9:30 a.m. followed by the induction ceremony at 10:00 a.m. The Huskies Sport Hall of Fame Class of 2024 includes legendary basketball player Justine Colley-Leger BComm'14 as an athlete, long-time field hockey coach Sharon Rajaraman as a builder, and the 1976-77 Huskies Women's Basketball team in the team category. Join us to celebrate the return of the Salzinnes Antiphonal to Saint Mary's after its successful exhibition in Namur, Belgium. The event will include a panel highlighting the research in antiphonal study, music and a reception with the opportunity to view the Antiphonal.

A cultural artifact of international significance, the Salzinnes Antiphonal is a mid-sixteenth century choir manuscript, containing the liturgical text and music for the Divine Office. Created at the Abbey of Salzinnes in Namur Belgium in 1555, it was donated to the Patrick Power Library in 1975 and underwent significant conservation work and research starting in the early 2000s.

The Scott McCain & Leslie McLean Centre for Sport, Business and Health is proud to present The First 50: A Half Century of Women’s Varsity Athletics at Saint Mary’s University, a documentary as part of SMU’s celebration of 50 years of women’s sports. Created by Robbie Loughery, this 15-minute documentary highlights Saint Mary’s University’s distinctive history of women’s sports over the past 50 years, including the stories of present and former coaches, athletes, and key contributors who played pivotal roles behind the scenes. This film not only reflects on the evolution of women’s athletics at SMU but also serves as a testament to the dedication and resilience of those who helped shape its legacy.
