Homecoming is happening from October 3-6, 2024 and we hope that you will join us! 2024 marks the 50th anniversary of women in varsity sport at Saint Mary’s University. We will be celebrating this important milestone in addition to others including the 60th anniversary of the first Atlantic Bowl victory for the SMU Huskies. Homecoming 2023

Over the Homecoming 2023 weekend, over 2,300 alumni, friends, and community members came together on campus and online to celebrate milestones, reconnect and cheer on the Huskies. A heartwarming Golden Grad's class of '73 reception saw over 145 people gather, some for the first time in 50 years.

It was a big year for celebrating milestones at the university. Fifty years ago, the 1973 Huskies Basketball, Football, and Hockey Teams took home championships. Over 90 Alumni gathered in the O'Donnell Hennessey Student Centre for a 1973 Champion Teams Reunion, where they celebrated and swapped stories from their big year.

Pathways to Success: From Saint Mary’s to International Diplomacy

This year, Homecoming kicked off with the panel discussion Pathways to Success: From Saint Mary's to International Diplomacy—an opportunity for the Faculty of Arts to introduce their new majors in Law and Ethics, Public Humanities and Heritage, and Minor in Climate Change Studies at Saint Mary's. This virtual event celebrated the individual journeys to success from distinguished alumnae—The Honourable Mayann Francis BA'72 LLD'12, Ann-Marie Layne BA’94 and the Honourable Isalean Phillip BA’16 MA’19.
