The first handbook of its kind in Canada, this new release from Fernwood Publishing is co-edited by Dr. Fridell with fair trade advocates Zack Gross and Sean McHugh. Framed within the common goal of advancing trade justice and South-North solidarity, the collection of essays brings together fair traders, activists and scholars from across the country and internationally.

Just Us! Coffee is Canada's first fair trade and organic coffee roaster. Established in 1995, it is located in Grand Pré, Nova Scotia. Just Us! coffee is available on campus at Saint Mary’s, and the company is a key community partner with Dr. Fridell’s class, IDST 2401.2: Fair Trade & Free Trade. In the course, students examine labour, racial, environmental, gender and human rights with a focus on trade justice and social power.
