Go back to the virtual classroom with Dr. Rachel Zellars, Professor in the Department of Social Justice and Community Studies. In this edition for our Back to the Classroom series, Dr. Zellars will discuss the current moment of global #BLM uprisings and steps we can take to further anti-racist work. She will discuss the urgency of our current political moment and the work we should be doing if we stand, truly, in solidarity with Black lives.

About Dr. Rachel Zellars

Rachel Zellars is a lawyer and professor in the Department of Social Justice and Community Studies at Saint Mary's University. She is also a long-time community organizer, and is a co-founder of the African Nova Scotian Freedom School and the Black Lives Matter Solidarity Fund. The fund has raised nearly $300,000 for Black community members throughout Nova Scotia during the COVID-19 pandemic.
