The SNAP Centre is located in the Atrium building
The SNAP Centre (Science Numeracy & Academic Proficiency) at Saint Mary’s provides free peer tutoring for students in first-year science courses.
Designed to support students through their first-year courses, this tutoring service can help students with conceptual understanding of topics, assignments and study skills and strategies.
SNAP Centre tutors are all Dean’s List students who have taken the same courses in recent years. Dean’s List students have achieved a high degree of academic success, earning an annual average of A- or higher (GPA > 3.70). They can tutor students in biology, chemistry, computing science, earth science, engineering, math and physics courses.
Students are welcome to drop in or book an appointment for in-person or online appointments.
